Default Rev/tune question

Just a quick question.... I have noticed that with a stock tune and your car in neutral if you rev the motor it only goes to 4K.. Thats fine but why do the rpms come down so slow? I know its not that big of a deal but you cant just rev the car quick you have to plan ahead...lol. I just like the snapy revs not the long drawn out ones. I have a tune coming from brenspeed and i was wondering if your rev limiter changes or if it still uses the 4k rule. thanks for the help.

drive-by-wire!

You can manually set the rev limiter yourself with the tuner.

I don't know why your stocktune would stop at 4k. I believe the stock rev limiter is set at 6,200 rpm. I didn't see the same behavior you are seeing.

The tune I got from Brent had the limiter bumped up a bit and you can really set it anywhere you like.

As to your second issue: The custom tune completely cured my throttle lag on the 'front end' and really helped the throttle hang on the 'back end'. I know you'll be pleased.

I think while not in an actual gear the rpms are limited to 4k. Someone else posted stated the same think. Again he is not in gear and the revs will hang more because of that.

Ahhh. Never tried that. I stand corrected.

You'll still love the tune (for the times you *are* in gear)
