Default How to Clean C&l air filter and more noobie questions

Hi all
i have a C&l Racer CAI and i was wondering do you clean it with a k&N cleaner kit or is there
something better?

also i bought BMR Lower Control Arms and i didnt get the adjustable ones. i am going to lower the cr with the eihbach pro kit and i thin an adjustableUCA with Bracket camber bolts and adjustable panhard. question is will i be ok with the solid LCA or shoud i return them for adjustable ones?

also i have the breenspeed tune i was wondering what should you expect as differneces between the 87 tune the 91 tune and the 93 tune just wondering cause it seemed to me the 87 tune had the most pull and easiest to chirp second with

thanks in advance i really have learned a lot from hanging around here and so far all i have done has
has worked out just like you all have said

K&N is fine. Desolve-it citrus cleaner is a stronger version of it.
If it gets real nasty (My 4X4 days) put a plastic bag over the opening and rubberband it on.
Put it nose down (bag up) in the dishwasher. Do some dishes too, Ball caps, etc...
Maybe remove one rack from the washer if it will not clear height wise, also not too ofdirty dishes.
It would hard to explain to your friends "Is that macaroni in you filter?"
Almost forgot. Turn off the Dryer in the washer.

If you have an adjustable UCA you don't need to replace the LCAs for adjustable.

On the reverse issue. Ensure you have the long side of the bottom shifter lever facing the driver's side when you install the attach stud to the arm.

I doubt it is the clutch you'd have difficulties on all gears if it needed adjustment.
Wear on it would just cause slippage.
None of the reverses I've ever heard of (Any manufacturer) are syncro-ed. Some cars have to be double clutched to get into reverse (Even mine sometimes).
Take the parking brake off and releasing your foot off the brake helps sometimes (not advisable in Vertical World aka W.Va)

Good stuff guys. I am from NC and I have the JLTII and tune from bspeed. I know what you are saying about the hurst having some problems going into gear. Reverse does not seem to bother me, but going from reverse to first when backing out is a pain. I have to let the clutch out and press it in again every now and then. But overall i like it, its firm though.

I have not had to clean mine, but i was wondering how to do it properly.
