Modifications on Naturally Aspirated GT
Thinking of making the following mods on my 06 GT convertible, 5 -speed. I am on a budget and looking for the best bang for the buck.I also want to stay street legal and don't want to risk voiding my warranty, so I do not want to add LT headers or 4.10 gears.Looking for feedback on anything I should skip or switch or add:
(P.S. Already have factory 3.55 gears and Borla 11752 axle-back mufflers)
1. WMS High Velocity CAI
2. SCT Xcaliber 2 Tune
3. Steeda Charge Motion Plates
4. Steeda Underdrive Pulleys
5. Steeda Tri-Ax short throw shifter
Thanks guys!

Well, technically anything you do voids your warranty if they prove what you did caused the issue. Though anytime they see a problem, and see a mod, they tend to blame you on the spot.
Anyway, those mods will definately wake up the Mustang, and the Tri-ax is a must! Just installed mine a few weeks ago. Shifts are as smooth as stock, but 50% shorter (Maybe not exact, but feels like it.) Really happy with it.

Get a JLT or C&L CAI with Brenspeeds tune.
Forget the charge motion plates, not enough bang for the buck. Speak to Brent about it when you order your parts.
Pulleys are a good idea. They'll give you about 9hp on the dyno.
Tri-ax also a good idea, check out Hurst also though.
BTW, I'll be selling my C&L intake and Steeda UDP's next month.

gears should not voide warranty if done by Ford....many people dont like the idea of Ford doing it though. Not all Ford techs are trained for gears in reality and this install needs to be do perfectly.
Go with C&L or JLT with Brenspeed or B ama tune for sure and CMCV is not a bad idea at all. Cheap 7-10 hp with the CMCV.

Well i'd deff get a gear, I like the straight shot cold air kits, UDP are good, and the delete plates did help my car,2 more things i would tell you to get is a set of LCA with the relocation kit, i got the hurst shifter and it is nice but i think i would have rather got the triax... It seems like it is easier to hit 3rd with the triax...

RE: Modifications on Naturally Aspirated GT
usually ford want count the teeth on your gears to see if it's other than oem, but use ford racing gears. Also cmmc plates gained about 10rwhp and 10rwtq from 2500 rpms all the way up so 80 bucks for those was way worth it and i could feel a difference before the dyno. go with a different cai like mentioned. but i would get a cai and a tuner at the same time for the best bang for the buck

RE: Modifications on Naturally Aspirated GT
If voiding your warranty is a big concern for you, you should consider getting a different CAI. The reason being that the way the WMS installs, it makes it impossible for you to switch your intake back to stock before going in for warranty work.
