Cold air intake

Who makes a cold air intake that i wont have to "calibrate" my motor. For some reason i dont feel comfortable doing that, and its like 400 bucks for a one time peice. I was dead set on the steeda cold air intake, but then i found out you had to calibrate the motor. I kind of want to get rid of that big rubber peice off my motor as well. So what can i use?

i highly recommend getting a tuner with whatever cai you get.

Why don't you feel comfortable with it?

Most CIA's require a tune and that is where you will pick up the realHP. I am running the Steeda CAI with SCT/tune along with Steeda underdrive pulleys and the IMRC delete and am very happy with the results, 311 RWHP and 328 RWTQ.The averagestock GT with a 5 speed clocks in on the dyno with around 273 RWHP.The mods I choose ended up being worth about 38 HP at the rear wheels. It was a good bang for the buck. The CAI and SCT/tune was worth probably 25 of that pick-up which is the best bang for the buckanyone can do to a Mustang.

It's not just a one time thing, the tune can be modified as needed for any other mods you might be doing down the line. All in all a tune is the best bang for the buck.

+1 you can do many things with the tuner. If you change wheels to a new size you can correct the speedo and many other things.

That's exactly what you do. Just make sure you get a tune for the cai you are going to use.

You can also set the speed/rpm limiter if you ever loan your car to someone or take it to a body shop. There are lots of things you can do with a tuner. The SCT has prompts for you to follow. I'm not a gear head and even I could follow the prompts and do my own tuning.
