Tranny oil cooler

Default Tranny oil cooler

I am not sure if we have one on our cars. if not i just wanted to know if someone has done it and if there is a public writeup i can use. i have done it before, but i would like to read from someone with experience on s197s

If it's an Auto, then yes, we have a tranny cooler already. I do not know of an aftermarket cooler specifically for our cars but to keep the temps down, you couldget a deep transmission pan (by Performance Automatics) and that will help keep the tranny cooler.

Yeah, and the PA pan will scrape the road for you free of charge...

Whatever you do - DO NOT try using a large deisel cooler in front of your radiator. It will keep your trans temps really low while your car overheats. You cannot block the radiator, stock or aftermarket.
