I also have the Steeda tri-ax short throw. Went to Sebring for a driving event, and really put it through it's paces. Was great short shifting into 3rd, never missed it. The way the bushings are installed, it guides it, so all you have to do is shove or slap it. The billet handle has a nice feel also.
I went with the Hurst, because of the look. I used to have one on my 1970 - 340 Plymouth Duster. Its a nice positive shift, and I've not missed a gear with it. I just like the "old school" look.
