Default Chirping into 2nd Gear

After only doing the Intake and tune on my car, if I go WOT from a dig, my car chirps into second. Do we really have such horrible low-end that they don't spin off the line (with T/C on or off!), but enough power to have them chirp into second? Or do I just have a freak?

If you wanted I'm sure you could spin themoff the line. Are you rolling into the throttle or stomping it? Are youpressing the brake pedal with your left foot while dipping into the gas at the start, then lifting the brake?

I stomped it and if I really do it quick I *may* get a little, but chiping into 2nd should be ALOT harder, and i'm not power braking, remember I have an auto.

most people can chirp 2nd stock no problem...I havent driven that many autos but my guess is the reason you can do it is becuase you are higher in the torq band than you are from a dead stop....

I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen on auto's without an intake/tune... what do you suppose it would take to chirp into say... 3rd or 4th I've only heard a 69 Stingray do that, and well, rediculus supercars you'll never see too... like a Dodge Viper Henessey

At WOT on the street on my Nittos, I chirp 2nd hard and once I think I even chirped 3rd but I couldn't really tell...it felt like it broke loose a little. From a dead stop, I have no problem lighting up my 285/40/18 Nitto 555 rears at WOT.

Nope autos can do it...read a couple of the "chirp" threads.

I have 18 x 10s and I wish I had traction. I spun so much at the track last weekend I almost hit the wall. Let me tell you there nothing worse then having to hit your brakes when doing a 1/4 race.

Gears! Or some tires with no grip. Or lower the car without adding relocation brackets. There are many ways to lessen traction without adding power, but most people don't want that.
