BORLA STINGERS OR PYPES VIOLATORS!OR SOMETHING ELSE?
Hey Guys, I am going to buy new axle back mufflers for my 07 GT stick, which has a stock drivetrain except for an airaid cold air intake. I am interested in the Borla stigers (the ford racing version of them) but they are quite pricey around $400-$450. Are they worth it or is there a much better cheaper axleback muffler such as the pypes violator?

[align=left]Ryan, Both of the sytems you mentioned are know to have a lot of drone. (a very loud resonance at 1800-2000rpm) do a search for drone and you'll be reading for days! I had the Pypes, Flowmasters before that. Bad drone with both, so I tried the Corsas. The Corsas are great, no drone, awesome sound, great looks. Worth the $$ But if money is tight you might consider the FRPP GTA's, they are reported to have no drone, and good sound. Good luck! and welcome to the forum

I also agree the drone issue can beoverstated. So it happens. I also wonder if it is different from car to car for some reason. The Pypes Violators give my exhaust sound thunder and snarls the stock mufflers didn't have, and for the low cost, I'm very happy until I hear in person the perfect sound. The sound clips don't seem to do it for me.
