It depends on what you want your car for.
If you go with the latestHO Saleen @450 rwhp and 4.10 you will have serious traction issues, so you'll need slicks, and then sooner than latter you'll have to upgrade the clutch.
If you go with the regular SC @ 6 PSI 4.10 can be ok if you care about is 1/4" time.
Personally I'd say 3.73 is the best compromise for FI car, specially if itis a daily driver.

I like 3.55 with SC car.
We have 3.55 in two cars, one stick and one auto.
We also have 3.73 in one car, 1st gear happens way to fast.

I have 500 to the wheels, running 4.10s and a 28 3/4" rear tire. Makes the final ratio 3.90. First gear is a little quick, but don't want to drop down to 3.73s with the rear tire that I run. That would put me around a 3.50 or so final drive. And don't want to put Motive gears in it ( only 3.90 offered for our car ) because of the noise. Although a 3.90 gear would put me pretty close to a 3.70 final drive which is where I would actually like to be.

I have my stock 3:55's and am going to keep them for a while after the Whipple install. I will get some track times and see how the street tires from BFGoodrich hold up off the line and go from there. I need to mention I have 20 inch rims as well. I am thinking of 4:10's in the future afterI learnto managethe power of the Whipple and because of the big rims I was told that having 4:10's is no problem for many even on a DD (which mine is not).
