Just some additional input-Mine was doing the same thing,surging at idle and going dead when releasing
the clutch coming to a light! T.B cleaner and rag I cleaned the butterfly's and ALL the black residue
from behind them.Perfect idle now,made a huge difference I will be doing this ever oil change.(To be safe)
