The LMs are just a resonated tip, not really a muffler per se...so not too much difference, except the LMs look nicer sticking out your rear fasica than, well, a couple of gaping arches or some fabricated tailpipes...

not so sound to stupid, but what is a resonated tip? I mean is it the same as a hollow pipe or does it have baffles in it or something?

Edit;
Thanks, I found the answer. https://mustangforums.com/m_3352298/tm.htm

I guess the resonator part of the tip quiets it down a little, so it's a bit quieter than running a straight pipe. I know that the resonator material in cherry bombs kinds of melts away over time, resulting in basicly just running a straight pipe; I'm not sure if a LM would be the same, but for the $$ I seriously doubt it and hope not!

p.s. I love your avatar...I could watch that movie at least once a day and would never get sick of it!

The LM tips are actually .5" thick. So it's kinda like wrapping a magazine in a roll and speaking through it. Best guess I can think of. There won't be much of a difference between these and some fabricated setup. The only difference is quality and ease of install. These come with all the proper length tubing, hangers placed accordingly, etc. It's a complete setup. If your exhaust shop can duplicate this to perfection, it'll probably be cheaper (Depends.. one shop tried charging me $300 just for tips...)

Yes, it'll have a similar sound. Obviously don't drive without the mufflers on there only because the exhaust will be unsupported in the rear.

The sound will be similar but without the tips it will sound slightly harsher. That and it will be going straight down instead of out the back so it will be reflecting off whatever you're parked on which may magnify the sound some.

Just from a quality standpoint I'd say get the LMs if you like the way they sound. Some people say they're too loud but I love mine.

It will sound stupid wothout mufflers. I have heard one without mufflers before and it was just annoying.
