Discuss ETB/wrench light reasons
Hello,
I am looking for an indepth discussion of the reasons why the dashboard wrench
light comes on (2005 car modified with sc) and how the code works behind it.
I understand it related to theelectronic throttle body monitoring softwareand the acell pedal postion etc. Are there detailed descriptions under exactly what conditions this sets. Someimes codes
P061B and P2106 are also set. I do have the emission dignostics manual but it is not
really clear about this one. Thank you.

RE: Discuss ETB/wrench light reasons
I have an AED on our '05 Grand Marquis (has 4.6l V8). It is not yet a releasedkit although close. The program was supplied by AED - we are now on try 4.(98% of the time the program works well, however under some more aprupt use of theaccelerator (almost stop, then go, car fully warmed up) it comes on occasionally- the dashboard wrench warning light and/or P061B with P2106. I ordered the SCT pro racer package to be able to fine tune myself, also for future additional mods like better breathingon the intake and exhaust sides.I posted it on this forum as there are more entusiasts than on the crownvic/marauder etc. Thank you,Gert

RE: Discuss ETB/wrench light reasons
I am pretty convinced that the codes get set because of the interplay between larger MAF, changed intake air temperature (this is measures
in the path of the discharge side of the AED, so much higher, and the ETB. Perhaps also the MAP readings need to be inlcuded as now
the intake manifold can go up to 6 psi, where before it could not reach that.
