NEW 07 GT Sluggish Acceleration

RE: NEW 07 GT Sluggish Acceleration
I have the same issues with mine. Doesn't help that I test drove the car with stock wheels and tires, and immediately upon purchase swapped out for 20's. I have had it now for 2 weeks, and I am itching to do some performance mods. I think I am tking an unconventional route though. I am starting with gears 4.10's probably. From years of cars, trucks and bikes I have learned that gears make the most noticeable differance. Any thoughts?????

^^^ gears are a great mod...3.73s for AT and 4.10s for MT...CAI/tuner also a great first mod...gears may lead to wheel hop/wheelspin issues, in which case pick up some drag radials and rear ca's...
...p.s. I have a feeling you could have accomplished a lot of the above mentioned with the money you spent on your wheels, which are only making your final drive taller. No offense, I just don't like big wheels, but opinions are like a$$holes everyone's got one, you know?

Why wait for 1k miles? I picked mine up, drove it to the install shop and had the work done.

RE: NEW 07 GT Sluggish Acceleration
I'm gonna get pigpiled for this one, but I have an off road x pipe with my flo's and personally love the sound. Everyone else on this forum seems to hate it. I was lucky enough to get a used one (3 hours used to be exact) for $75 but the average is about $175...the general consensus is that the H is deeper, and the X is raspier and may yield an extra 2-3 hp over the H.
okay, here come the boos and hisses, lol...
p.s. you'll need MIL eliminators or a retune to turn the rear 02's off...and as far as the warranty goes, just keep your factory midpipe handy...swapping back isn't too much of a job...
