C&L or WMS CAI?

RE: C&L or WMS CAI?
then you might want to just flip a coin? If I'm not mistaken doug's a one-man show while brenspeed has supporting staff, which is probably why their customer service is awesome. Plus they have a good website and a good selection of parts, free shipping...have I convinced you yet?
p.s. this is really just a contest between me and howarmat to test your loyalty (JK)

RE: C&L or WMS CAI?
i think i'm probably going to go Brenspeed because they also sel the Corsa Axle-Back system so i can roll everything up into one order and get free shipping on both. i know this is off topic, but i also saw that Brenspeed sells the Steeda UDP's... how much does it cost to get those installed and will theyaffect how good the air-conditioning is? i realizethey don't allow the accessories to draw as much power, so does that hinder the A/C at all? i live in Texas and it's as hot as the surface of the sun down here so if it compromises the A/C, it definitely won't be a mod for me...

RE: C&L or WMS CAI?
my advice FTW!
the steeda UDPs are about a 2-3 hour job for a first-timer with all the right tools (pulley puller, torque-to-yield wrench, etc)...will not affect any accessories negatively...the only con for UDPs is, if you ever go s/c they'll have to come off (don't want to underdrive the s/c obviously)...
p.s. I wussed out and had the service dept at my work do my UDPs lol...I think a shop would charge you somewhere between .5 and 1.0 labor hours...

dude, this is helpin me out a lot! one more thing (i think). i know that i can replace the stock airbox and stock tune if i need to take it in for service, but will an axle-back system or UDP's void my warranty?

RE: C&L or WMS CAI?
^^^ the a/b's definitely will not void the warranty. The UDPs, erm, if a dealership really wanted to give you a hard time about a warranty issue re: a belt-driven accessory, I suppose they could...it's really hard to say, a lot of factors involved, like: did you buy the car there, do you have any connections there, did you come in all friendly or like a d!ck, etc.

RE: C&L or WMS CAI?
thanks guys, this has helped a lot!
i'm gonna get:
C&L 95mm Racer Intake
SCT XCal2 Tuner
Corsa Axle-Backs
from Brenspeed. i'll wait till my warranty is up in Novemeber to do UDP's just in case. i'll be able to start in on suspension mods at that time as well.
