Molded plastic intakes are "quieter" than the metal ones...IMO. But both are not that loud IMO. A nice sucking sound (like a real deep breath through a small tube) is nice.

I find it interesting that I don't notice much difference in my GT + Steeda, but notice a huge difference in my DD Hemi truck. Lord, the truck sounds like the old days when I used to turn the air cleaner over
