Default 4.10 GEARS IN .....

Just got the 4.10 gears in and will have to say that although it is defineatly a much quicker car ........maybe should have gone 4.30.
Still alot more fun to drive once you get used to the power band change.......

Was $695 for all parts installed ...They had to install a new pinion bearing as the factory one was on so tight that they couldn't get it off. Can tell that after break in I am going to sure have my foot on the floor alot more !!......Really shifts through second and third fast, Third feels like second did with the stock 3.55.

You'll grow to love em even more. I take off in second gear alot of the time when doing normal driving through town. I really only use first for a hard lauch or for the occatinonal stoplight racers

You can heat cycle them for 100+ miles but you should change the gear oil.. I've always put back the oem oil..heat cycled...then ran royal purple

Haven't really launched yet but I Really like the change in power band ! Sure makes the motor feel like it has alot more torque..kinda like driving the old mustangs when there was more low end torque ....and also having the new mustang with all the rpms to work with. Kinda hard to tell how easy it will break loose in the turns as the car really handles very well now with the suspension mods.....time will tell.
how are the under drive pullies anyways ??....Are they worth the effort ?
