GMS Billit Throttle Body TROUBLES
New to the forum, I have a 2006GT with a few mods K&N cold air induction,Magnapack exhaust system,Diablo Tuner,Steeda Wing,Steeda 18"5-spoke alum wheels. My question is I purchased some time back a Granatelli Billit throttle body (p/n GM-TB0507-N)at $400.plus. I've since had 5 including myself, people try to install this on my Mustang with no success...the problem at first was RPM's at idle 1500 to 2000 and a dead gas pedal(I would like to add a Ford Mustang Mechanic at a local dealer couldn't get it to work either and he is a good Mechanic) A member of my old mustang club gave it a try lately and he was succesful with the RPM's (900/1000 @ idle) but eventually the gas pedal went dead??? I really want this to work and the performance shop where I purchased it at is willing to give store credit after so long and the 2nd unit. But I don't believe its the part(?) If anyone has had success installing this please let me know...FRUSTRATED!!! Thank You!

Search around, I have never heard of anyone getting them to work right. Your best bet is to return it for store credit and get some gears for that price if you want a noticable difference.

RE: GMS Billit Throttle Body TROUBLES
From reading around with the aftermarket TB's, one of the theories, and it does make since, is because the gears in the TB from the ford part are plastic where the aftermarket TB's are metal or brass. They are heavier and the motor part that is used from the ford tb is not efficient enough to get the metallic gears to move. So when you say yu get that dead peddle feel, it is because gears are not moving and the flap doesn't open.
