Default bbk twin 62 mm throttle body

the big question here is....how well does this thing perform. i bought many parts with the intention of starting my engine mod by freeing up airflow in and out of the engine. i have installed the slp long tube cermanic coated headers, race cats, x-pipe, and a flowmaster thunder series axle back kit. this takes care of everything after the engine. i have a k&n cold air kit for now (intend to supercharge with procharger p-1sc when money is available), and also have the bbk throttle body. now has anyone installed this guy on their gt yet, and if so how well is it working. i have spoken with a local shop here in san diego and was told it wasnt worth the time or money to run on my car. should i just try to sell this thing, or consider it money lost???

There are no power gains from those. The stock one is fine unless you have 500RWHP or more.
Then if you need a bigger one you need the monster one that ST motorsports is selling. That is a whole intake kit I think though and it only fits certain blowers.
These BBK TB s cause lots of problems- I would return it and spend money in something you really need.

Just as good on your car as they would be a paperweight on your desk...

Some poor sap will buy it from you...like howarmat said, just put it on Ebay or in the classifieds, you'll get rid of it quick...

Although I couldn't tell you if there were any gains or not, mine came as a package deal with the tuner for about the cost ofa tuner. It's not like I was out anything. I had problems with it the first time I took it to the strip but it's worked fine since. If you can sell it on Ebay though, that's money to put into other mods.......

For the installation: https://mustangforums.com/m_4060652/tm.htm

For the usefullness, I have not had issues with mine, but each to their own. Some guys on here have come home riding bitch in a wrecker because of the aftermarket TB's.

I purchased the BBK. Put in on my car. I did feel a little difference in response and sound but Im not sure if I made any decent HP gains.2 weeks later it took a crap on me in the mall parking lot. No throttle response and I didnt have the tools or original TB to put back on with me. So I put my GT on a flat bed and took it home.
Put the stock throttle body back on and everything was fine. Put the BBK in the box and left it sit.
Now two months later I want to give it another go.....There is a spring loaded adjustment which is the Gold thread post that brings the stopper closer or farther from the gears. I am going to try making it so the stopper is as close to the gears so when they open and close they dont get jammed and the TB takes a crap on you. I'll let you guys know if that adjustment is what makes or brakes the part. If it doesnt work I am taking the BBK, and lighting it on fire!!!
