Default camshafts?

ok so this is probably a rookie question but ima ask.im wanting a new camshaft and all the ones i look at say it comes in packages of two. does that mean i have two camshafts? cuz ive heard of dual overhead cams. so ya. where are the cams on a 2007 gt and how many are there. thats my question. thanks!

1) There are two cams in a 3-velve engine, one in each head. Do you know what a cam is and what role it plays in your valvetrain?
2) Why do you want to replace your cams? Do you have any reason or purpose in this planned change?
It is about 2000 dollars to have your cams changed to aftermarket cams. This is a high cost and there is virtually no power gains worth speaking of. In fact many people lose torque from after market cams.
So why do you want to change cams? Is it to gain peak power, change the powerband your engine has or just to give the car a rough idle?
Since you dont know that you have two cams I am going to assume that you probably don't need them.

i was talking about the camshaft. the rod with the oblong metal parts that makes the valves open and close. not the entire cam. they sell for like $200

They sell them in sets of 2 so you'll have a spare.
