Offroad H-pipes...noticable HP increase??
I'm thinking about getting some offroad H-pipes. Already got a JLT CAI and an X-cal II. I'm not too much concerned with sound, I'm happy with the way the stock muffs sound. Just want a few more HP for not much $$. Brenspeed claims 8-10 HP increase with their H pipes. Anybody got any experience with an offroad H and the stock mufflers?? Thanks!

They said they got 8 HP from it but i doubt you will see that much, maybe 3-5 over the stock h pipe. Get the o/r h for sound only, it will sound nothing like stock when you take the cats off and a x pipe will sound different yet but the o/r x pipe might give you 7-10 hp maybe.

Thanks for the input guys....I think I'm gonna just do it. It's only $175.If I only pick up 5 HP or so it'll still bepretty cheap HP. I'll post how it works when I get it installed in case anyone else is interested......

Either go catless or don't get a new midpipe the stock one flows fine IMO. Don't get the O/R h-pipe though if you are expecting a performance gain either. I'm sure most of the guys on here including myself got the O/R h-pipe for the sound. Now if you are FI that is a different story.
