Default best bang for the buck mods for auto?

obviously 4:10s,spydershafts and a torque converter but anything else?

plus does having a high stall converter on the stock tranny harm it at all during hard launches?
not talking about neutral drops but power braking and such.

I need something have fun with while saying up for the SC.

I am thinking about getting level ten tranny/converter in the future but wow..even for the stage 1 it's pretty pricey...guess I might have to though,at least a stage 1.

I'm no expert here but the best bang-for-the-buck would probably be a CAI & tune. The combos typically run around $500-$600 and will net you roughly 20-25 HP. The down-side is that you'll remove it when you SC. The nice thing about the tune is that it'll vastly improve your shifts on your auto tranny.

Lots of great info about all this in these forums. Good luck!

How long until you plan on getting that supercharger. If its anything less than a year, you might as well just wait and save your money.

Yep...CAI/Tune along with TC upgrade are the best bang for the buck for the auto.

I'm with the concensus. CAI/Tune with your list is the place to start with an auto fo' sure.

lol actually I meant best bang for the buck in terms of getting the most performance out of the tranny itself.

First mods I will get will be CAI/tune and a full exhaust system (from headers to H pipes, mufflers)

Good idea......

if it's going to be too expensive for the SC/tranny/converter combo I might as well just get the 4:10s and converter and leave it a full bolt on stang for a while..don't exactly need 450+ whp daily driver lol..

it will however be my long term project. The only way I can afford it right right now would be to get the SC and putt putt around while being careful not to break shiet...but then whats' the point? the point of getting the blower in the first place is for the added power,if you can't use it- bah![:'(]

Kinda like getting your model thin girlfriend a desert eagle for protection.
