short throw shifters

RE: short throw shifters
Everybody has their favorite. Hurst is probably the most popular. I choose the MGW and really love it. I think there will be close to universal agreement that the stock shifter is mushy and any of the aftermarket ones (at least the big names: Hurst, Steed, Pro5, MGW) are much better.

I made a real short video of the Hurst shifter, but when I post it the video comes out sideways, if you tilt your head you can see it.
PS if anyone of you Computer wiz types can fix it ....Thank You.

STILLEN will be coming out with a short throw shifter - hopefully within the next 30 days. Its SUPER short - roughly 60% shorter than OEM. A little on the notchy side - but everyone that has tried it in our exhibition car so far has said they wanted one. Price - will be competitive with the others on the market. This shifter supposedly will be followed up by one for the GT500 (T-56).

Another route that you could go... The bushing for the Hurst shifter are available seperately and fit directly into the stock shifter. That will take care of the mushyness and then add on the Saleen Short throw adapter to it, and you'd have a halfway decent shifter for about half the price of a Hurst... and it would still look stock.

The Hurst and the FRPP are nearly identical. The FRPP just has a different shaft that uses the stock shift ****. The Hurst is a very notchy shifter, if you want a smooth shift, you won't like the Hurstor the FRPP.
