Default Still to quiet!!

I just installedaxle back flowmaster cans on my sisters 07 GT.I noticed a louder sound however not by much. I have been reading alot of posts on this site as I am new to it, and still have not found if installing an x, or h pipe will cause the car to show engine codes. I noticed the 02 sensor in the cats and does cause me some concern. She would like the car louder but with no engine codes. I read tacobills write up on installation and found it to suit my needs.

I had the flowmasters too, went with a bullet type muffler (frpp/borla stingers, slp powerflo, corsa) and it is a nice deep loud, but not redneck truck with only headers loud. If you do an off road mid pipe you can get mil eliminators at brenspeed to stop the engine light or you can just get a tuner which is what i would recommend, get rid of throttle lag, pick up a few ponies, and stop engine lights.

Putting a X pipe and cold air with a re-tune will be like night and day. Thats what you should do if you got the money.

That sounds like the best solution for the situation.

Sell the Flow's and get a set of Boomtubes. The Boomtubes will give you the sound you're looking for with out being too loud.

Too loud is not an issue. What is involved in the retune?? I am old school and run old school style parts, only with alcohol.

the retune involves a hand held tuner to turn off the rear O2 sensors which cause the OBD II trouble codes when removing cats. removing the cats will make it louder with the same tone you have now. but if you want more loud try boomtubes. you can also install some LT's and that will make it even louder
