Lethal Performance told me not to waste the money with FRPP, because Motive makes em. Just like Steeda makes the FRPP handling pak, and Whipple makes the FRPP blower, and Borla the exhaust.

FRPP carries both types. Same part #, but different suffix. 'A' suffix is US Gear, 'M' suffix is Motive Gear. Most problems are a result of install or improper break in. If you want some added insurance, have them Mikronited.

its all in the install- but there is more "room for error" if you will, with the FRPP gears

Ask what your installer used the last 5 times to get quiet smooth operation, and use those. After searching, I brought in my own FRPP's, but my mechanic has installed about every kind I've ever heard of.

Let's put this issue to rest right now. Forget what so and so has told you about motive versus FRPP. Here are the simple facts...

Motive is not a 'bad' gear. In fact, motive gears have been tried and proven in racing success for years. It is a fact however, that the motives are a much tighter and precise fit and allow almost zero room for error.

The whine people get from the motives is 100% due to install. Sorry but that's the truth. Now don't go run out and yell at your installer cause like I said, the motives have to be precisely installed and 90% of installers (especially dealerships) do not do a precise install. The FRPP have gobs of room for play and fitment so for the majority of installs, the FRPP is a better choice but in know way a 'better' gear.

I will tell you what a very high person in Motive told me...

Ask your installer if he is familiar and comfortable with installing motive gears. If he has done them before and is familiar with them, then you should be good to go. If he's not 100% confident, use the FRPP.

+1 my installer has done MANY gear swaps over the years, I have no whine or any sort of noise at all...
