hey whats up guys i recently had ford racing part number 410A 4.10 gears put in my car. on the way home i noticed they made a weird noise the noise was more noticeable in 4th and 5th gear but could be heard in all gears. its hard to describe the sound but sounded like a slight high pitch hum anyone else have this?

you might just be hearing the gears 4.10 make a small amount of noise they turn so fast

yes, i have a slight whine on decceleration in 5th gear. it depends on the install if they got everything lined up well w/ the shims, sometimes there will be no whine. depends on the install. if it stays the same and doesnt get worse I wouldnt worry about it.

It pays to have an experienced tech setup these 8.8 gears. Pay to have it done right the first time.

yea hes replacing the gears for me tomorrow so hopefully it will work out

It's the install I've had 4.10 gear's for 2 mo never a whine or howle, have them reshim the gears, the whine usely wont go away. Frpp gear's are about the best gear's you can get.

My gears whine a bit but, I tell people its a trunk mounted whipple.
