whats wrong with TCI, seems like alot of people are running them, the PI is outrageously expensive !!!! lol

brenspeed.com (pretty reputable) sells the TCI on their website. I am staying n/a until I get rich, which will be a long time. [:@]

The PI is like $300 more, why is it worth it, sell me on it please ?
Absolutely not true, the only "cheap" one from TCI is the normal streetfighter version of their TC, and the reason its so cheap its because its just a re-worked stock TC, it wont last long if you ask a lot from it and they're sold only in 3,000 stall being SINGLE disc.
Have you seen the next step of TCI tc ? its the super streetfighter and they go 1,000+ dlls. why ? because its a custom-built TC, nothing to do compared with the streetfighter one.

And as price, P.I. might actually be even a bit cheaper if compared to its equal of TCI, just take as an example the front part of the TC, it doesnt even use a plaque like the stock one, it uses a weld-on front piece extremely thick that will NEVER bend.
Every PI is made by order for your specs, even their single disc is very stout, but for 250 bucks you get the multidisc that has more potential.
You beat me to the punch Mex - that is 100% accurate...[8D]

That's cool but remember that the single most important aspect of your TC after it's design/construction is the STALL. make sure the one for sale is the stall you want...

I like it but it may be a little aggressive for you. Most in your range recommend around 3200.

I like it though and think it will work nice with your 3.73's...

Will 3500 stall work well with the stock 3.31 gears?

yeah it should work fine but when you switch gears go with a 3.73 if it's a DD or 4.10/4.30 if not. these cars love high stall speeds and lots of gear. I'm trying to find a way to put 4.88's in mine without going to a spool.
My TCI works great but it is a custom unit they made for me (it's loose...about 4000rpm stall).
It seems that N/A cars work well with the TCI but if you are going with FI or n20 then get a PI multidisc cause the single disc in the TCI can't handle all that torque.
