SuperCharge the 05. I supercharged my 07 with a Saleen and 475 kit. I am running an auto and 4:10 gears with NITTO 555 286x40x18 in the rear. I think if I was to do it again I would do the 3:73 gears though. I have to watch the pedal on launch so I can get traction. But after launched and in 2nd, push the pedal to the floor and watch out! I think you would be very happy taking your 05 to the SC stage. I purchased my SC through Stage3 Motorsports. With everything included, out the door was 5100.00 for the SC and all parts. I had it on the Dyno last month and I am running RWHP at 425. Save your money, don't buy the 08 unless you just have to definitely have the manual tranny. But one definite suggestion is too get a SC tune from Brenspeed. The Saleen tune you get with the SC purchase is totally LAME for the Auto.
But Dave and Brent set me up with a great tune and now my car is a MONSTER!

Mistake on the tire size! I hit the wrong key. It is not 286, it is 285.
