Have a question about x-cal3

If for example my mustang is bone stock and i purchase an x-cal3 from brenspeed or bama and ask for their 91 and 93 octane tunes, and six months later i decide to install a cold air kit, then later a throttle body gears, ect,,
Do i need to call up and pay for updating tunes (ifi doNOT buy my stuff from them)every time or is this done directly selecting new mods in the device.?

Thanks.

I'll take a stab at this. I'd advise talking with Brenspeed at any rate. I think that everytime you make a mod to the car the requires an upgraded (new) tune you'll have to pay for that tune.

RE: Have a question about x-cal3

It's cheaper and better to try an get the intake, tuner, and custom tunes at the same time. For tunes, bama has a few variable tunes for torque, performance, and race. Brenspeed has a single tune set up for three different octanes.
Stock: You get a tune for your stock settings in different octanes. later you buy a intake. Brenspeed will give you a single free updated tune for your intake if you bought from them. Bama seems to be better at updating tunes for free. Most likely, he'll send you an updated tune with whom ever you bought from.
Stay away from a tb, it's a waste. If you add gears, you can adjust the tune throught the parameters on your tuner. Keep custom tune on and just adjust yourself.
