FRPP 500 hp S/C superpack? Know anything about it?
I was on the Ford racing website last night and I noticed they had another "pack" on there. I looked into it and noticed that the FR super pack comes in two forms, a 400 and 500 hp S/C kit. I was under the impretion from all the guys and gals here that our engines can pretty much only take 400 hp to the wheels and after that you start having problems? I am just wondering if anyone has any first hand knowledge of this set up or any insider facts. I would really like to know considering it is a ford product and it comes with an optional warrenty that it should be pretty reliable. Let me know your thoughts and feelings. Thanx.

Have you had it dyno'd yet? How did you have it installed? I was thinking about getting the drag pack, the handling pack and the 500 hp super pack. I was wondering how much you had it installed for or if you did it yourself?

I notice the FRPP web site states the 500hp Superpack is for manual transmission only while the 400hp isOK forboth manual and auto. Is that strictly because of the power handling capability of the auto transmission or is there another reason it will not work with an auto?

yes, the auto tranny is not rated for the amount
of torque, the 500bhp kit produces.
do people run it anyways? yes.

I've been running it for a couple of months problem free. Just a word of advice, you can get it cheaper from lethal performance than from ford. Just ask Jared at lehal performance about mustang forums member pricing on his whipple HO kits. (They are the exact same as the S/C 500hp superpack.)

I would like to get the package but possibly with a tune on an sct xcal2. I have a wms CAI with an xcal from brenspeed, and it was kinda pricey. I wouldnt m ind getting it a little cheaper for now having to have the new prgrammer and just getting a e-mail tune. Got any ideas?
