Brand new to the forum, but familiar with wrenches. I have an 08 GT Premium Vert and was wondering if one of the custom tuners was considered a guru for automatics. I am going to purchase a CAI and tuner combo, but wanted to see if anyone had any pointers on who to go with. I live about 20 miles from EVO in Philly and was going to support them just because they are local, but I heard that Doug at Bama is the best with Autos. Any help is appreciated.

Which tune for the Auto GT?

I was thinking one for 87 octane and two for 93. Any suggestions are appreciated.

And who would you recommend buying the combo from? I understand Brenspeed, Bama, and Evo are the main three.

Brenspeed just has different oct tunes, so you wouldnt get 2 93 tunes from him

bama does the specialized tunes

Doug at Bamachips is the king when it comes to tunning the Automatics.

I had a bama tune for my old v6, and now have a brenspeed tune for my GT. Obviously the GT is faster, but I liked the tune from bama better. It just felt snappier, especially as far as throttle responsiveness goes. I also noticed more of a difference after tuning my 6 with bama than I did with my 8.

If it wasn't for the fact that I hope to one day have brenspeed install an SC for me, I'd probably switch to a bamachips tune eventually.
