Whipple + CAI

Whipple + CAI
My long term plans involve a whipple. Is there any reason I should get a CAI + Tune before getting the blower? Won't I just have to end up selling the CAI when the whipple gets installed? Seems kinda pointless if thats the case.

RE: Whipple + CAI
You'll have to ditch the CAI and tune to install a whipple. Word to the wise: If you're planning on a whipple, don't buy granatelli's line locks either. They don't clear the whipple heat shield.

Depends on how long term the Whipple is. If at least a year from now I say definitely get the CAI. It's an awesome upgrade that will surely tide you over until forced induction. When the time comes you can still sell it without too much loss to you, certainly worth the performance you will get from it.

RE: Whipple + CAI
My long term goal is 400-435whp. I want the Whipple. I want to have a car that's fairly quick @ the drag strip but I don't really care if it competes with a corvette or an STI through the slalom or not. So that should give you guys some clarity on what I'm kinda aiming for.
Since I'm not getting the blower until after I pay the car off it'll be at least a good two years. Sounds like the CAI and Tune are probably worth getting in the interim even if I have to sell the intake off when I get the Whipple.
