Noise shifting into 3rd

Noise shifting into 3rd
I have about 600mi on my '08 GT. For the last few mornings, when starting out stone cold, I've been
getting a grinding sound shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. Doesn't happen every time, and when it does,
only maybe the first shift, maybe the second if I do two within a few minutes. Then it's gone. It's not
a full on grind, there's no real resistance, it goes into 3rd. Sounds like it's happening just as I enter the
gate, before it's all the way into gear. Yes, the clutch is all the way to the floor. It doesn't occur on
downshifts, just upshifts.
Once warmed up, it doesn't happen. First few days I thought it was lazy technique (haven't driven a
manual daily for probably 10 years), but now it seems pretty consistant. It *seems* like if I shift real
slow, I can make it through without it happening.
I plan on talking to the service dept about it when I bring it in for my first *free* oil change, but wondered
if this was a common occurance...
Thx,

RE: Noise shifting into 3rd
Heh, never mind fellas. I had searched before, but it's just a matter of finding the right search terms.
Looks like it's a fairly common issue, though no one has posted a solution other than an aftermarket
shifter. I'll still ask about it at the oil change, but otherwise won't worry about it...
Here's the thread I found:
