supercharger or gears

supercharger or gears
My mustang is my DD and I am looking for more performance out of her. I have a CAI and tune from brenspeed and am looking for better pull and acceleration. I am in the mid west for another month so I could make the trip to brenspeed easily to have the saleen stage II kit installed. I don't do 1/4 mile runs, just like quick acceleration 0-80 to get that i'm stuck to the seat feeling in and around town. So will 4.10 gears accomplish this for much less or is a supercharger the only way. Like I said this is my DD.

Not even close.
Gears will defineatly help and you will feel a difference but it isnt anything like an extra 140rwhp.
If you have the cash for a Stage 2 I would get that. It is very streetable, and should be reliable if maintained well.
I have a whipple HO on my DD and love it. No problems in 5k miles, and I dont expect any in the next 40k+.
Get blown.

Well when i changed gears i got maybe .2 quicker in the quarter mile.
When I went with a supercharger my car went from 14 seconds in the quarter to low 11s.
You cant even put them on the same level of modifications

RE: supercharger or gears
i understand there is nothing like adding 100+ horsepower, but will I be able to enjoy it on the streets of my DD. will the s/c make the car rev faster, because right now i am just not hitting the higher rpms (3500+) and/or using all my power i have so that is why I was thinking gears. I would really love a s/c but I just need to justify if it will fit my vehicle needs.

Honestly in the end it is up to you, but if you are comparing the gains, a S/C is the way to go.
With a Twin Screw blower you will make practically peak boost at 2000rpms, but only when you go WOT.
I agree with the above statement, get the gears and see if it is enough. If not add the blower.
My car is a DD and I might only get into the boost once or twice a day, but man is it worth it. Car drive like stock when you are cruising, but wakes up at WOT.

I disagree.
Get the supercharger and then see if you need a gear change once you see the result.

Why dont you find someone local who has gears, and one with a S/C.
Try before you buy. Must be a mustang club around there are thousands of them.
