Shifter for sasquatch

Shifter for sasquatch
This is my first mustang (I have been in a camaro for four years) and its also my first manual sports car. Im looking at getting an 05 GT coupe, but I realized something on the test drive today. Im too damn big! Im 6'5", so I have to have my seat just about all the way back. The problem is, I really have to reach to get it into 1st, 5th, and the elusive 3rd gear. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a shifter kit that not only clears up some of the 3rd gear rejections (I looked through some other threads and was thinking hurst with some new torque limiters as well) but Im also looking for a kit that provides a healthy rearward offset.
Im almost afraid Im going to have to buy the hurst kit, and then buy another shifter bar on top of it.

Hi there, welcome to the Forum.
Take a look at the MGW shifter. Opinions will differ but most tend to agree its the best one on the market for these cars. You can adjust the throw down to 50% of stock. You can also adjust **** height. It does have an offset to the rear, more so than stock, but don't know if it will be enough for you. There is usually no need for torque limiters unless you have loads of HP.
The Hurst is less money and probably the most widely used. It seems to be a love/hate product though - either guys love it or the hate it and quickly swap it out for one of the others.

Yeah, I know a guy that just bought a shelby GT. Im going to have to get his opinion on that hurst after a few hundred miles. Though, his appears to have no offset, which was why I was thinking of going through a hurst catalogue of shift bars.
I'll look into the MGW, thanks!
