Granatelli CAI, tuner ?
Hey guys i just bought an 08 mustang GT and added the granatelli cold air intake. What tuner can i get that will work with it? It supposedly said it required no retuning, but will a tuner add me that much more HP? What tuner to get and how to get the right tune? Thanks,

If I'm not wrong that CAI comes with a recalibrated MAF that does not need a tuner. If you already got it I would not use that MAF and keep the original, get a SCT (the predator is good too, but not that widespread and less tuners use it) and get a mail tune for it.

You can use tunes created for the stock intake like those from Diablo or SCT with the aftermarket MAF in place. If the tune allows you to select the intake, then select "stock".
If you go back to the Ford mass air flow sensor, then you will need a custom tune on the dyno or mail order tune.

So, I can either take the MAF off and get a sct tune. Or i can leave it on and select stock on a SCT tuner. OR change the jumper harness to stock? what is the jumper harness?

RE: Granatelli CAI, tuner ?
The harness is what you were sent to plug into thenew mafsensor which is called a jumper harness which translates the proper signal to the maf for keeping the correct fuel curve with the cai you now have. The tuner will allow you to change other parameters like shift rpm and furmness. Do a search and you can read all night. SCT and Bama tune, and you will be at the most power on a stock car until the mod bug gets you again.

Apparently bama tunes cannot make a tune b/c of some bull like they might get sued... However brenspeed said they can make one if i take the MAF sensor out and put stock back on. Will this set up give me the same hp than if i would have got say a c&l? B/c i am considering selling my granatelli if not....
