Default Dennys DS

Hi, I installed my DS like 5 month ago. The thing is that after the install it vibrated a bit when I was over 100pmh or so. Like a month ago I installed adj. LCA since the install it vibrates when i'm at 70 or over and in deceleration. What can I do to fix this. I almost can't race my car because of this. Any advice is helpful. Thanks

What's your pinion angle set at? That can be part of the issue. Also, when you go to aftermarket arms with urethane bushings, you will get more noise and vibration transfered through the chassis.

yes im running urethane bushings but I dont think that the vibration will be so big.

If it vibrates on decel try raising the angle of the pinion. The vibration over 70mph makes me think you need to unbolt the driveshaft and turn it 90 degrees, but you should have felt it before the lca's. It wouldn't hurt to try turning the shaft at the transmission, it's easier to remove at that end. If you do this, be sure to mark the shaft now so you know where you started. I think you'll always have more vibration over 100 with an aftermarket driveshaft. The stock driveshaft does a wonderful job at absorbing vibrations, probably because it's so freaking heavy.

What? Raising the angle of the pinion flange or rotating the driveshaft? If you have vibration on decel, then 9 times out of 10 it's because your pinion is angled down to far. Don't listen to anyone telling you to set it at such and such degrees. Maybe for maximum traction you want it set at a certain angle, but for a 1 piece driveshaft on a daily drive, I like to set The angle of the pinion flange 1 degree down from the transmission flange angle. So if the transmission angle is 3 degrees, i'll set my pinion at 2 degrees and see how that feels. Just make sure the working angle of your U joints (driveshaft angle minus pinion or transmission angle) does not exceed 3 degrees.

sorry, the rotation of the DS got rid of them....i played with the angle for a week straight before doing that and all it did was shift the vibration speed
