jbhunter- no need to start ure own thread... im just wantin to get rid of that sluggish feel my 20's brought along...i know they fill out the wheel well nice. and i know that most reccommend the 3.73's for autos, considering this is my DD and i might ocasionally need to go faster than 120-125+ especially when i'll be blown by christmas. looks like im goin with the 3.73's

Default RE: 3.73 Gears and 20" rims

I spoke to one of our local club members last night that owns a transmission shop, he will do my 4.10's for $200 + parts which I found Ford Racing 4.10's locally for $179 (ebay has them for 145 + ship). He also warned me that anything over 3.73's and I am going to here some gear noise.

Do any of you running 4.10s hear a significant amount of noise? I think I read one thread where it went both ways, some did, some didn't. I don't even know if I will hear rear gears anyway because I am running Magnaflow Magnapaks on Cervini side exhaust and it's loud in the car all the time anyway... which is fine, it's not our DD.

And... I have 3.31's now.. it should be a huge difference although Ihad aWS6 T/A last night goose and go on a two lane and with my current set-up,I had to back out of third to keep from running him over but he couldn't pull me all the way up to 125 where we backed out. I have a C&L CAI and Doug from Bamachips is sending me a SCT 3 this week so I doubbt my next run with the T/A will be an issue cause I would have loved to pulled out and went around [8D]

I also found out that my Cervini hood needs pins, my wife thought it was going to come off at 120-125. Hood pins apparently aren't just for looks.
