i have an 2008 and wondering what is the the stock thermostat temp,i've heard it's 180 degree,if thats true why does hypertech sell a 180 degree version? does anyone run a 160? i' know if it runs too cool it will set a code but my Vette with a 160 temps run in the 180 degree range(it had a digital readout for temp) even in the winter..

I have no idea. i just checked autozone and it says "original equipment" under both the 180 and 192* if nobody can give a good answer just go buy the 180 its only 10 bucks..

looked in a Ford shop manual today the factory thermostat on the 3v starts to open like 176-182 and is fully open at 192-195 (if my memory is right) just wondering if the Hypertech is fully open at 180?i'm use to most factory Ford thermostats being 192-195 Opening temp and fully open at 202-205 the Shelby GT 500 is also a 180 degree thermostat.
