So i've read alot of different people talking about getting a Tune. But which one is the better one or more bang for the buck. I've heard breenspeed and Bama, as well as SCT and X-cal for the actual programmer. Would appreciate any feedback on which tunes seem to be better than others.

The SCT Xcal 2 and 3 plus the Diablo Predator are good handhelds but neither one really performs much differently than the other. They both will accept new tunes for you to download to your car's PCM plus allow you to make some other changes to a few operating parameters.

The real meat are the tunes. Brenspeed and Bama both write excellent tunes. You won't go wrong with either. Brenspeed supports the SCT's whereas Bama supports both the SCT's and the Diablo. Both of them sell CAI & tune combos that are excellent.

Thanks......does one offer different tunes versus the other??? One more of a top end and one more of a low end tuner? or do they tune pretty much the same?

Both Bama and Brenspeed (and others like VMP) typically provide you 3 tunes with the combo based upon your mods and choices of octane. Bama offers race, torque, economy, etc tunes but I'm sure if you call and speak to technical support they can discuss the tunes, what they will do and how they can tweak them to suit your needs. Although both Brenspeed and Bama are considered 2 of the best, Bama seems to be recommended for those with auto trannies and Brenspeed for those with MT's. Also, word is that Bama charges a bit less for new tunes if you need some later down the road but I don't recall the #'s.
