Steeda UPD

I understand they're worth about 5 hp. Old drag racing rules say a weight reduction of 100 lbs = .1 in the 1/4 mile = 10 rwhp. I read somewhere that the spare tire and jack weighs 42 lbs.
Wouldn't udp's give about the same performance bump as removing the spare tire? Maybe he could remove the spare to get some idea of how they might feel?

i have seen dyno results when cars have picked up 12-13 rwhp with udp's. but i would'nt recommend them if you run your a/c alot. my car is noticably slower on acceleration while running my a/c .its alot harder for the engine to turn the compressor with a smaller crank pulley. or just turn the a/c off any time you floor it, what i do. bottom line ,easily worth the 250.00 imo.

Steeda UDP were my first mod. According to the butt dyno, I noticed a slight improvement over stock. In the summer I run the A/C often, and I have no issues with the UDPs. I didn't dyno my car before the UDPs, but with UDPs as my only mod, I dynoed 275 RWHP/280 RWTQ at one place and 280RWHP/284 RWTQ at another.
