I'm pretty sure the LSA for the FRPP is not 133 deg. This was discussed on moddedmustangs earlier this year and they seem to think it was a typo and should be 113.

The lower LSA is part of what gives the lope and is what you want for a n/a cam. An FI cam will have a higher LSA. But 133 is crazy high and would not give a lope I think.

Still, that's a good list you're comming up with and I hope we can fill it all in at some point. And in addition fully understand the numbers better.

I have the Hot Rods and love them...tons of people compliment the sound.

I asked the same question when I was about to order cams...the main point is Comps for more power than sound and HRs for more sound than power.

I'm not big into racing so I went with the Hot Rods for the sound moreso than power. I like turning heads and getting attention.

If your more into racing go Comps.

I didn't need a spring change and my cam install cost was $400.

Got the cams from Sutton. The site said they were sold out back when I got them but I called and they actually had some in stock...shouldn't be too hard to find them now.

I went thru the same decision process and ended up with the Hot Rod cams. I love the sound and it made great power thru the whole rpm range. I get compliments all the time on the "big block" sound they make. I got mine installed for $400 here in St. Louis. Got the cams from Late Model Resto. They had plenty in stock. Let us know what you ended up getting.

When ya'll say Comp stage 2 cams, are you talking about the Comp Thumper cams? I have been looking at these and the hot rods but have not made a decision. Has anyone had cams installed in the Houston area and if so what was the price? My neighbor has a 4 valve and had some Crower stage 2's installed for about $1,000 in a local shop. I hope the price would be cheaper for our SOHC engines.
