4.10's

Invest in some cheap 17" wheels, take offs from another S197. DRs are much cheaper for the 17" wheels compared to the 18s. Not to mention they tend to perform better.

I think the taller tire with 4.56 gears would be a better combination. A 10 inch rim is not optimum with that tire, it will work but the 35 tire will actually give you a better contact patch on a 10 inch rim. If you decide on that tire I would go with the 4.30 gears.

I'd say 4.10s or 4.30s, I run 4.10s with a V2-SQ and MT 265/40/18 DR its a nice set up IMO, my effective gear is around 4.22 (tires are 26.4") however if you go with a a bit taller tire then the 4.30s would work well IMO. the tire you reference is the same 26.4 as mine, you have the wheel width, get the 345/35 @ 27.5 with either gear set you'll be very well off IMO.

the centris love RPM so the faster you get up there the better for power. get yourself a good shifter as well cause you'll be rowing faster with the steeper gear

What kind of 60' have you gotten? I haven't been able to go make any runs on mine yet.

I had BFG 265/40s for one season and got 1.73-1.8 typically

this season I used the MTs the BFGs were discontinued and the MTs were new this past year, I've pulled 1.68-1.69s consistently with them

IMO the M&Hs are better, but they were not around when I needed tires. A friend has them and has pulled low 1.5s IIRC (but he has 600+rwhp)

4.10sss man I couldnt even imagine 4.30s or more. But hey if my car was a drag car and I had drag slicks then maybe it would be ok. But for me the 4.10s hit hard and pull like a mother...

well,
according to my math 430s with a good tire is capable of decent traction.
if you are gonna run **** all serasons with all bolt ons you need tires. if you run **** ties you got **** traction.
is 1st useless. no not according to my math, yes it will be quick but it will do its job. yes it will reduce gearing but IMO the best move as far as gears go. I am awaiting there install

as i figure it a NA stick will be doin about 112 mph in the traps on stock tire diameter before needing less then a 430 to hit less the the 430s at the traps in the top of 4th.
why go 410s if your gonna stay na then???

so looks like the common thought now is, 4.30s can handle if I stay NA, but if I drop a FI system on the 4.10s will do me better for traction and getting a longer pull I would need in the gears to finish off the 1/4
