new eldobrock blower for 4.6 3v

I'd like the 5 PSI kit but I wouldn't need the air filter (I have a Steeda CAI which I'd use) and I don't need that programmer since I have an SCT. It would be cool to get that kit minus those things to help with the price. Although I'd add a GT500 fuel pump to it since my stock pump is a POS.
If I do decide to get one of these later on I'll already have Kooks headers installed (which should be done in a few weeks actually) and Hot Rod cams on (few more months?) and in addition to my CAI I'd be looking at low to mid 400's for sure.
I really like this thing.
EDIT: I see there's a tuner package. Good.

I emailed edelbrock and they said it would work but I'd have to make an intake tube that would connect the Steeda to their TB. Any shop could make one. Since I already have a very good CAI that was quite expensive, there's no way I'm buying another one (that's also expensive I see).
There's no technical reason why ANY CAI would not work with this. It's just a matter of making the intake tube (just a rubber tube basically).

Oh sure, you can fabricate an inlet tube to make it work. You'll definitely need to custom dyno tune it after that. Keep in mind that you also get a PMAS Velocity MAF Sensor with the competition kit which has a TON more range than the stock slot meter in a Steeda housing for S/C purposes. This way if you ever went with more boost down the road, you'd have more range and wouldn't have to worry about pegging the MAF.

Chris(Tillman speed). I believe i talked with you over at Modular Fords about this kit last night?? Brenspeed said the 475 Saleen is only 5 psi boost? I thought they raised the boost to 7 psi get the 475? I'm going to buy/have installed a super charger on my 08 GT next month. Where are you located? Install/tune pricing? I'll need to modify the stock Edelbrock calibration. My car has JBA long tubes,JBA hi-flow catted h pipe,JBA mufflers and 3.73 gears. Do you have any of the Edelbrock Cold Air Kits yet? My car is an auto trans. WANT it to stay together/drive it alot/weeekend drag race occasionally at the strip! Can you put multiple octane tunes in my SCT?? I already have a SCT tuner i just bought last summer. Thanks alot,Joe

Very true.
Moosestang, but with our 7 PSI kit, it does come with a GT500 fuel system, 41lb injectors (more range than cobras), high flow intake system (90# per minute range... will do 850RWHP no prob, more range) and will still be competitive with the whipple between 6400-6500 dollars. At 7PSI it will make 460-480RWHP. At 9PSI it will surpass whipples numbers at 10.5PSI and run atleast 20 degrees cooler, and read behind the blower, and come with a new throttle body with a larger opening than the GT500, and a larger intercooler surface area. That's not a bash on the Whipple. I love Whipple kits to death. This is just honest comparison. Another two weeks when the Dyno results come out maybe everyone will have different feelings.
