GT500 blower on a 4.6?
#2
Yes it is. The blower is an eaton 122 btw. You are going to need an intake plenum manifold for the sc to mate up with your cylinder heads.
I belive JDM has an intake that can handle the eaton 122. Team JDM has a kit.

I figure that was the reason...The eaton was made for a 4v design with different heads, block, intake setup and total displacement in mind.
Can if be done, yes, total cost for custom fabbing is around 2500-3000 last time this subject was brought up. Plus additional tuning on a dyno since this is not a standard setup. Gains are not going to be worth it in the end since you are using something that was designed for a bigger sized engine setup.
To me i look at it like this
There are many proven systems out there starting around 3500 up to 7000 to choose from that tons of R&D went into to produce the most gains for the 4.6 GT engine. The support for these setups is plentiful and so is the tuning options. Easiest way to get from pt A to pt B is a straight line with less problems now and in the future.
You are taking the other line, which will in the end cost 4K probably at least and will not yeild the outputs that are desired when compared to the other systems out there.
Anything can be done if you have money and while you might save 1k-1500 once all the custom fabbing and such is done, i would still rather pay a little more and get a KB or whipple with about 500 HP to the wheels that has been testing and perfected.
