Major CAI Problem Please help

Just though I should chime in.
When I first started modding my auto GT, I went the most recommended route; Steeda CIA/ Brenspeed SCT tuner. It was a night/day difference in acceleration, throttle response, etc. A whole new car.
Then I added the SLP Loudmouths and I immediately noticed a LOSS in power and acceleration. At the moment, I credited it to the fact that I was now making more "Noise per mile traveled" (there should be a scientific unit of measurement for that) I couldn't break the tires loose anymore. I also noticed the engine was pinging at WOT.
After reading around the forums, I saw that many people also noticed a perceived loss of power after adding SLP LM's and not retuning the car.
I placed my order for a 93 oct race tune at Bamachips (writing down the mods I had) and the car is back in business again. Low end power is back and the tires break loose again.
Maybe you should contact brenspeed and ask them to recheck your tune for the SLP's (though I read they don't review tunes unless you purchase new parts from them), or go the Bamachips route, which really woke my automatic up.

I had a SCT tune for a while. It wasn't bad...not that good either. I switched to Bamachips and was very impressed. They really know what their doing with automatics.
There is some truth to what the tech said at American Muscle. You might see some improvements in the way an auto shifts with an 87 octane tune, but honestly, there won't be much more horsepower over stock. If you're not going to run premium fuel and the tune to go along with it, then you're likely going to be disappointed with the results.

Excellent. Glad things are back the way they should be. Nothing like getting wood when you bury the GO pedal...
Hang tough. The job market will improve. Have patience.
