well, I decided to just replace the alternator with a stronger aftermarket one.. any suggestions on the BEST kind? not gonna run any 5000 watt amps or 4 15s or anything, just want a stronger alternator.

the odd thing is, whenever my car does not start- if I return it back to stock tune, then install the custom tune, the car starts up as if nothing was wrong.. wtf?? if it was a faulty alt. wouldn't it just stall out or I'd get warning signs? rough start, poor idle, dim lights??? I just want to get to the bottom of this! I won't get any more mods til this is fixed..

ggrrrr... my car just died again a few days ago! I took it back to ford and insisted they check the crapenator again. It better be fixed this time, luckily I was stranded at work and I had the SCT x3 tuner with me.

that leaves me the question... if it is a bad alternator, how come whenever I load the stock tune, start the car and it starts? then I install the custom tune then it also starts again?? weird. Only a few days later it dies out on me..

could it be that the tune is bad or something else is wrong?? alternator and everything else is tested out as fine.. though I have a feeling it will die again in a few weeks.

clear the code with your tuner and see if it comes back at a later date...if not your fine ...if it does then back to the dealer

I just took out the auto start/alarm and ended up washing my car and detailing it for the entire night... I haven't seen or driven my car in so many days I ended up missing it lol...

I hope all goes well now, maybe the auto start wasn't hooked up right and causing it to fail intermitently, who knows...

GGGGGrrrrrrrrRR..... friggin' thing is pissing me off now. It died once again after leaving it in a garage for the past 2 nights while I was installing side/rear louvers and some other crap. I went to start it a few times and it was fine.. last time I started it to take it for a spin.. it dies on me. I open up the hood, check the fuses, unhook the battery for about 5 minutes then hooked it back up... starts up, then dies, starts up then dies for a total of 3-4 times. Finally it starts back up, I take her out for a bit and then re-load the custom tune just to make sure everything is a-okay.

Fvck this shiet, I am just gonna run stock intake/stock tune until it dies again and just let them tow it to the dealership. I am tired of this crap...
