Default Crap-broke a darn plug

Well, with all the threads out there on changing the plugs out and 42000 miles on the car I figured I'd go ahead and give it a try. Followed all the directions and tips and still had one seperate on me. Thought I was skeerood. Luckily a friend of mine is a machanic and had a tool that would pull it out. I was able to get it out without getting anything down in the cylinder, but boy, I was sure sweating it for awhile. We will put the 1 piece plugs back in. Glad it's over with and real glad I got lucky. Would not want to do it again. Good luck to everyone that gives it a try. Gabe

Glad you made out ok and didn't have to take it to a shop. You should buy your friend dinner for that one.

I just did mine last weekend, scared the be-jesus out of me but I did get them all out. Glad you had a mechanic friend to help you and you got them all out without further issues. By the way very nice ride

That really made me chuckle and then I got to thinking I wonder what the stats would be for those that took out their plugs, how many people broke plugs and how many didn't, also if you broke 1 plug or more. It would interesting to know.
I would only be an honorary member as mine just screeched like hell

Default Broke a plug club

I have an '06 GT. With 38K on the clock, and following the TSB to the letter, I broke the second plug I tried to remove. I trucked my baby to the dealer where their "best engine man" broke 5 more. Now running one piece Champions and loving life.
