I have an 05 GT with just the usual K&N CAI, TB, Pypes Violator Mufflers, Autolite HT1 plugs, and all Royal Purple fluids. I'm expecting to get my W2 returns back sometime next week, and I'm wanting to use about $600 of it to put more modifications into my car. I was really close to purchasing a NOS kit, but I'd rather build power with all Motor instead; especially because of the risk NOS has with chipping valves and causing engine damage after much use. I'd rather add something that will be constantly adding power to my car, not only when i flip a switch. I ABSOLUTELT LOVE the sound that aftermarket cams produce. It reminds me of a late 60's big-block wreaking havoc on the track. I've heard that cams for the late model s197's generally produce around 30rwhp alone, without anything else but the cams. I want to get something that will make my car sound nice too. I know gears are a favorite for lots of people, but I'd rather put that off until later, and focus now on something that makes my car sound amazing and gives it horsepower (comp cams, headers, etc..) Anyone have any recommendations? I'd really appreciate some options considering what I've explained that I'm looking for. Thanks a lot in advance for any quick replies...
a good cheap mod would be exhaust cut outs.. though they are hideously loud and borderline obnoxious! They are only like $100 for a pair of 'manual' open cut outs...
With 600? I would get myself some Borla Stingers and a Pypes O/R H if you want it to sound like a beast. Just my opinion... or CAI and Tune like everyone else will say...
