You two that say to keep them. With the twin screws.

Do you have a manual? This is an important difference IMO. I want to hear from the 4.10 manual users with twin screws. What do they think.

That's a good point. I let you know once i get the saleen put in. I think the 305x35x18 mt drag radials i have on right know should make it interesting. I just did the calculations for my taller tires and it came out to my gears being about a 3.94. I don't know if that makes much of a difference. It's just going to be crazy when i put back on the street tires next winter. I'll probably just put the 3.55's put back in then if i don't like how the car performs.

I'm manual. Had 3.31's which was decent, but the gears where stretched out too far. I was doing over 80 in second gear and at the track had to shift into 4th right before the end of the track. Now with the 3.73's the car feels stronger and on a hot day 2nd gear still hooks up not to mention 4th now has plenty of track to make it useful. 4.10's are slight overkill, but no since in going to a 3.73 or 3.90 since you already have the 4.10's in and its such a small change. Now that I have the 3.73's in I won't go back to the 3.31's. I say if you feel like the 4.10's are too much gear after the TS change it later, but I wouldn't go lower then 3.73s.

well you know what they say don't fear the gear lol. Everyone is different, I think I could of been happy with 3.73's but I got 4.10's and am happy I went with them. Oh and my car is a 5 speed.

I have no intentions on going back to 3.55's, but if for some reason my 4.10's crap out, then i'll probably put the 3.55's back in, since they are here, and I'll get it dyno tuned to make up the difference. You can't beat the pull in 3rd and 4th gears with 4.10s, unless you have 4.30's, lol!

Well that's all I needed to hear. I still haven't decided on the blower yet and have plenty of time before a decision needs to be made. But I'm kinda leaning towards the twin screw and was worried about the 4.10 going in with my car since it's a manual and I actually have to do the shifting. Only thing I'm a wee bit concerned about is hitting the limiter since with 400+whp you're gonna blow through first gear pretty damn quick.

I had 4.10 with the turbo and switched back to 3.55s and a locker. I'm a little different though. If I had a twin screw I would still have the 4.10s.

There is no reason anyone in this thread shouldn't be pulling 1.7 60' with a twin screw and 4.10s. A set of LCA's and BMR relocates help plant those rear tires. If you want a good 60' out of the MT DRs, you need a good burnout, 4-5 seconds of smoke, and learn how to not side step the clutch.

Sactown gets 1.7 60's on his MT DRs 275/40/17.
I get 1.7 60's with 265/45/18 MT DRs.

It's doable. It takes practice.

On a side note, track prep plays a big role. If you are going on a night when cars with regular street tires are being used and they aren't prepping the track you will probably have some issues with traction.
