The 3.73 option is only available on the manual transmission models. He has an automatic.

Actually with 4.10s, he will be running 2713 rpms at 70 mph in 5th gear. Why do the kids who own older mustangs keep trying to post info in the S197 tech section? I know they are trying to help, but the cars just aren't the same.

it's really not 'that' bad on the freeway with 4.10s if you keep your speed in check. I truly think it's worth the break neck acceleration from a dead stop..

Those of you with the 4.10 gears and not much else. How was the traction situation after going to the shorter gear set? I've got stock pirellis and just an intake/tune. Just wondering how hard the car is going to be to launch on those tires after putting the 4.10 on there.

To 4.10 or not to 4.10, that is the question;
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous speed,
Or to take 3.73s against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing, end them.

Ya, I know...stupid

.. well, if you travel on the freeway as much as you say you do, and daily- I'd get the 3.73s. I just got back home from an 2 hour trip and ate more then a 1/4 tank of gas cruising at 60-70 the whole way lol. I don't mind being that I get out of town only 2x week for school...
